Case Packer from the Selo brand.

The machine is composed of the following parts:

• Boxes fold section
• Product stacking unit
• Boxes filling section
• Box closing and tape section

Description of important parts of Case Packer:

Infeed conveyor flow packs

The flow packs are automatically supplied from the flow packer.

Count unit

The flow packs enter the counting unit from the infeed belt. The counting unit collects 10 flow packs and transfers them to the position where the robot takes the flow packs from the counting unit. In the meantime, another 10 flow packs are being counted. The supply of flow packs from the infeed belt is continuous.

Robot with gripper

The Fanuc robot takes the flow packs from the counting unit with the gripper and places them either in the display box or in one of the ten buffer positions.

Box filling station

At the box filling station, the box is clamped and held open by means of suction cups. The robot with gripper fills the box with 10 flow packs.

Buffer position boxes

The chain conveyor has a number of positions where boxes are ready as a buffer to be filled.

Plano warehouse

The blanks are placed manually in the warehouse. The blanks are pressed forward by means of the toothed belts and pressure plate under spring tension.

To be able to refill blanks, a mechanism is provided to keep the pressure plate in the rearmost position.

Box folding station

The robot unfolds the blanks in the folding station. The blanks are held on one side by suction cups. The movement of the robot unfolds the box.

Fold robot

The Fanuc robot takes the blanks from the warehouse and takes them to the folding station. The camera checks how the box is rotated in the warehouse and whether it is positioned correctly. Wrongly placed boxes in the warehouse are not packed.

Box closing station

The box closing station closes the box and provides it with a tape. The closing station has a double design. When tape unit 1 is in use, tape unit 2 is ready. When tape roll 1 is empty, it automatically switches to tape unit 2.

Box output + 90° tilt

The side belts of the box closing station push the box out of the machine, the box remains here. The next box to be taped

Flowpacks buffer positions (10x)

The machine is equipped with 10 fixed buffer positions for stacks of flow packs that cannot be placed in a box due to a malfunction, for example.

Switch box

The control cabinet contains the hardware components for controlling the machine.

HMI

The machine's operating screen is located next to the blank warehouse. The entire machine can be operated from here.
